Get the Look - Daisy Jones & the Six
Well if you haven’t watched Daisy Jones & the Six yet, then you’re in for a treat. It’s like a 70s lyrical love story with outfits that will have you salivating. Think Fleetwood Mac mixed with a bit of Debbie Harry and Donna Summer. I was hooked from the first episode.
It’s funny because I am drawn to a more androgynous, minimalist style, but when a series like this comes out, I am itching to get my flares, platforms and pretty tops out and rock that retro vibe. It must be the 70s child in me! And the outfits do not disappoint.
Costume designer, Denise Wingate took inspiration from various sources and wanted to stay as true to the book as she could without it seeming too contrived. And she absolutely nailed it. The characters are perfect and there are aspects from each of them that I want to take on board in my own Spring style. I’ve definitely added a few outfits to my moodboard and will be recreating as soon as the sun comes out!
In the mean time, I’ve done a little edit in preparation for warmer weather. I had so much fun doing this one so I hope you like it.
